GENERAL QUERIES

Q.

We have a charity organisation. How can we be part of the B1G1 program?

A.

If your organisation meets the criteria of the program, you can send in your application via this page. B1G1 Giving assesses each application based on the criteria as well as the suitability and uniqueness of the projects to ensure the right balance of projects in B1G1. Currently, we are actively accepting applications from charity organisations that have high-impact project activities in North and South America, Europe and Oceania. If you have questions, please contact us.

The application form itself takes about 40 minutes to complete once you have the required information.

Q.

Does it cost me anything to be a part of the B1G1 Worthy Cause Program? What’s required to be a B1G1 Worthy Cause?

A.

There is no fee to be part of the B1G1 Worthy Cause program, since the operation of B1G1 is fully funded by the Business Membership Program (you can learn more about B1G1’s business program here). B1G1 does not take any fee from the contribution - all contributions are passed to you excluding credit card and bank fees.

In order to continue receiving funding from B1G1, your responsibility will be to submit periodic updates on your project activities as well as to submit your audited accounts and annual report to B1G1 Giving each year. These updates and documents are likely what you already have. And there are other optional opportunities for B1G1 Worthy Causes to share tailored updates to B1G1 Members through various events and online communications that are facilitated by B1G1.

Q.

How long will my application take to be processed?

A.

The application process typically takes around three months to complete, although some applications may take a little longer depending on the nature and scope of the projects.

After submitting your application, the first step is the initial assessment stage. If successful, it will move on to project review. If the projects pass, the application will proceed to financial review. Please note that this stage may take additional time if any questions or clarifications arise. If the financial review is successful, the application will then move to board review for final approval.

Once approved by the board, the project listing process will begin. This process typically takes about one month or more. Please note that the overall timeline may vary depending on the level of clarification required to confirm the appropriate projects for listing. Any missing information may significantly delay the process.
